| Overview |
CadLib.net is
a CAD parts library based on the Web. It can work with nearly any 2D or
3d CAD system since it can supply object in the main popular neutral formats
(IGES 2D, IGES 3D, DXF) and in Pro/ENGINEER (Rel. 20) native format.
We didn't focus our efforts to supply
parts in other native formats: standard parts shouldn't be modified (they
are called "standard parts" for this reason!) and the neutral formats work
fine with nearly all the CAD systems actually available.
The parts are detailed when the detail
is needed, but are simplified when a closer detail would make the parts
heavy to manage. For example the bearings do not have the balls modeled.
Being web based CadLib.net can be used
both with Windows and Unix systems, only a web browser (i.e. Internet
Explorer 4.x or Netscape 4.x or later) is required, no need of further
program or plug-in. |

| Fast |
The pages contain just
the necessary, no frills, banners, etc. The user finds immediately what
he needs. The pages are fast to scroll. |

| Safe |
It's important to remark
that CadLib.net can record your partnumbers and your settings (such
as parameter names, pre formatted descriptions, etc.). If a partnumber
was assigned, it will be automatically assigned to the selected part. The
bill of material of the downloaded part is automatically created in Excel
type format.
Tha Cad manager can define users with
permission to use only given components; for instance only those parts
whom a partnumber had been assigned to. |
